Summary:
We are looking for someone that can establish and scale processes, manage a pipeline, land new business and grow ARR, develop and manage a high-performance sales team, etc. This position requires high energy, innovation, and a solution-oriented demeanor. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, people oriented, collaborative and will have the ability and drive to take initiative.
Responsibilities:
· Create, manage, and drive the sales pipeline and processes
· Generate qualified leads and awareness within target markets
· Be an individual contributor to drive identified opportunities through the pipeline and close deals
· Land new business and grow ARR year over year
· Participate in annual fiscal year planning with executive management team; providing accurate sales pipeline projections
· Establish and grow long-term relationships with key customers to ensure the overall health of our position in target markets
· Establish a GTM sales strategy
· Generate customer outreach materials such as product pitch decks and battle cards
· Launch new customer outreach strategies such as blog posts, newsletters, or email campaigns
· Provide leadership and direction to further the development and growth of the sales department
· Own and actively participate in RFP submissions from preparation to final submission, follow-up, and product demonstrations
· Maintain well informed knowledge of competition, industry trends, and best practices
· Maximize CRM platform; lead lists, notes, reporting etc.
· Obtain detailed knowledge of product offerings
· Lead weekly sales pipeline review meetings presenting to executive management to report out on pipeline performance and trends
Key Qualifications & Experience:
· A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a senior level / team lead or director capacity
· Experience working remotely is preferred
· Experience selling to the public sector
· Experience selling into the gov tech space is highly preferred
· Experience submitting and participating in government RFP processes
· Proven track record of growing ARR
· Experience in a small start-up environment
· Experience building and scaling processes from scratch
· Experience formulating a GTM strategy
· Understanding financial management, budgeting, and resource management
· Lead development and execution of sales plans, sales skills, and sales strategies
· Previous experience/background in marketing would be an added bonus and give you an edge
· Proven ability to think strategically as well as tactically
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Willingness and availability to travel
