Job Summary:
Highly technical role responsible for both delivering mission critical infrastructure as well as designing, building, and optimizing automation systems that enable the software engineering team to develop and deploy applications efficiently, predictably, and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, plan for, maintain and manage internal infrastructure and configuration management systems
- Design load balancing and clustering solutions according to architecture standards
- Develop scripts to automate building the infrastructure and so ware, create release and build numbers, tag and branch code branches in the configuration management system, notify engineers of build problems, and collect build metrics
- Maintain solution release notes and other collateral related to solution releases
- Gather, track, and supply all the tools that are required to develop and build a particular piece of software in order to reliably reproduce and/or maintain solutions after the initial customer release
- Assess server storage and infrastructure
- Serve as the primary interface to AWS and other 3rd party cloud computing technology providers
- Propose infrastructure improvements for all hosting environments
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Ensure that the Company's data and information are protected from unauthorized access
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- US Citizen or Green Card holder as defined by the U.S. Department of State
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technical computer related degree
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computing environments
- Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
- Cloud computing experience, i.e., AWS
- Experience with virtualization and containerization
- Experience with monitoring systems
- Experience with automation software
- Scripting skills, experience in Advanced Networking
- Experience working with so ware development, IT and DevOps processes
- Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks
- Able to think strategically and see the big picture
- Proven success working cross-functionally and contributing to the product strategy to successfully deliver on the product roadmap
- Excellent people and project management skills
