Multimedia Software Eng. - Onsite (Bay Area)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Multimedia Software Pipeline Engineer, you'll be crucial in improving audio and video technology. · Bring-up of audio and video pipelines on new cutting-edge devices.

· Develop and optimize software pipelines.

· Leverage your general audio and video pipeline knowledge to integrate and enhance video/audio codecs for devices, ensuring compatibility.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement native audio libraries for many devices, enabling seamless call handling.

· Normalize output volume from multiple incoming audio streams.

· Evaluate and determine the right video codec for specific network situations, considering latency, bitrate, and congestion factors.

· Implement audio telemetry to analyze loudness variations in different conference rooms.

· Address challenges related to video screen-sharing, focusing on bitrate distribution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· BA or MA in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

· 10 Years plus experience in C++, or more, preferably 20 years.

· Audio or video knowledge is required, but not on an expert level.

· Experience with Android and/or Embedded Linux platforms.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 – $250,000 per year. The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand.
